It was a ‘golden hour’ shoot in more than one way. Not only did we have a beautiful sunset to work with, but it was also the last warm days of a fading summer and Lene and Gerhard were in the home stretch of their pregnancy. I loved everything about this session. The couple. The light. The location. The memories this couple would share for years to come.
The black and white image of Lene looking into the light is one of my all-time favourite images. She looks so strong and fragile at the same time. This is something I often notice in pregnant mothers or mothers giving birth – the raw beauty of these two extremes combined into one.
